This is part 2 of the #QuarantineWatch, if you want to read part 1, the movies that I have never watched before please click here. And this is the list of movies I watched many times and watched them again in April 2020.
Midnight in Paris (2011)
I actually watched this film for the first time in a theatre, at that time, I did not know much about the characters. I only knew some of them if they were famous artists but I do love the movie though. When I had a chance to visit Paris, I then understood that the atmosphere of creativity and inspiration is really all over the place. Just imagine how it was in the 20’s and it would be much more romantic under the rain. ;-)
84 Charing Cross Road (1987)
A movie that based on true story and remakes from the book with the same name, it was a story of two strangers who lived across the world. A lady character was an American writer while the gentleman character was working at the bookshop which was located at 84 Charing Cross Road in London. They had contacted each other by writing letters but never met in person for 20 years!
Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961)
One of the very classic films that not only fashion but every design student has to watch! Audrey Hepburn has always been the iconic name for the classic-style fashion, despite the film aged nearly 60 years old! It was the story of a girl named Holly Golightly, who had different and dangerous lifestyle but always find peace at the Tiffany’s. I once wrote about this legendary jewellery house here (in Thai), you can check it out!
You’ve got mail (1998)
It was one of the 90’s romantic-comedy films that everyone remembered. Dates back to the first days of digital age, when contacting through e-mails is mysteriously romantic. The two characters, Kathleen and Joe, both in the book business, which I particularly love the phase ‘around the corner’ from the bookshop that Kathleen owns.
Sleepless in Seattle (1993)
Another movied starred by Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan when they were a little bit younger, Sleepless in Seattle was about the man who lost his wife and tried to find balance in life again. He and his son moved to a new town, Seattle, where the story hereafter happened just because of one phone-call!
The Princess Diaries (2001)
One of my most favourite movies when I need a time-off. The Princess Diaries is a story of an American teenage girl who surprisingly realised that she was the only heir to the throne of a European country. Recently it is rumoured that there will be an additional sequel in part 3 which I totally looking forward to!
Elizabeth (1998)
Last but not least, Elizabeth, is the movies based on true history. Elizabeth I was the queen of England who historically was known as The Virgin Queen, according to the fact that she had never been married. With her renowned speech, “I am married to England”, showing her intention and dedication to rule the country as their queen.
Here is the list of movies I have watched in April 2020, and again if Covid-19 is not gone any soon, I would surely have another list for the next month.
Let stay home and watch movies!
